Well-produced corporate events drive engagement, strengthen culture, and create memories that employees carry home. And one of the elements that most distinguishes a memorable company party from a forgettable one is the presence of live music. Not a Bluetooth playlist, not a background DJ — but professional musicians who read the room, adapt the repertoire, and create a tailor-made sonic experience for your audience.
We serve companies of all sizes across São Paulo, Greater São Paulo and inland Brazil — from year-end parties in Campinas and São José dos Campos, to company anniversaries in Jundiaí and Sorocaba, to team integration events in Atibaia, Bragança Paulista and Guarulhos.
In this guide we explain how live music works in each type of corporate event, which formats work best for each occasion, and how to plan the booking without surprises.
1. Why live music stands apart from everything else
There is a reason why major companies invest in live experiences at their internal events: live music is the only sensory stimulus that simultaneously activates memory, emotion and social engagement. An employee who dances at the company party with colleagues forms different bonds from someone who simply attended.
The difference between recorded and live music goes beyond volume or sound quality. Live musicians respond to the environment: they notice when the floor is cold and liven things up, when the mood calls for something softer at the cocktail hour, when a request from the audience makes complete sense in that moment. That situational musical intelligence is impossible to replicate with an automated sound system.
In corporate events we have performed at — from small team meetings in Atibaia to large year-end parties for hundreds of employees in São Paulo and Guarulhos — the most recurring feedback is: "the music was what stuck in memory the most."
2. Event types and the role of music in each
Year-end company party
The most booked corporate event of the calendar. The challenge is bringing together different employee profiles — from the board to operations — around a shared and enjoyable experience. Live music fulfils this role better than any other element: it eliminates awkward silence, creates atmosphere from the moment guests arrive, and gradually warms up the party.
The ideal format for company parties: live ambient music during the cocktail hour (MPB, bossa nova, acoustic pop) and a transition to more upbeat repertoire at the dance floor. Companies in Campinas, Jundiaí, Vinhedo and the region frequently opt for the acoustic duo at dinner + livelier music at the party.
Company anniversary
The company anniversary carries more symbolic weight than a regular party. It is a moment of recognition — of the founders, the employees, the history. Live music amplifies both the solemnity and the celebration simultaneously, something few art forms can achieve with such precision.
For this type of event we frequently include in the repertoire songs with a special connection to the company — a song that marked the team's history, the founder's preferred musical style, or an acoustic version of something that represents the brand. We serve company anniversaries in Sorocaba, Itu, Salto, Indaiatuba and the entire greater Campinas region.
Team meetings and integration events
Here the objective is different: not to entertain, but to connect people. Team integration events, team building, year kick-offs, onboarding of new employees — all benefit from a live musical moment that acts as a social catalyst.
The most effective format for these events is a short, impactful set at the beginning or end: 30 to 45 minutes of voice + VS or acoustic duo that creates a shared moment, a common experience that becomes a conversation topic for the rest of the day.
Product launches, award ceremonies and brand events
In these events, music serves the brand narrative. A sophisticated musical choice aligned with the company's positioning reinforces the message and elevates the perceived quality of the event. We work with brand briefs to choose repertoire that speaks to the company's identity.
3. Available formats: acoustic duo and voice + VS
Unlike what many imagine, our work is not limited to the classic guitar-and-vocals format. We serve corporate events in two main formats:
🎸 Acoustic duo — voice and guitar
The most versatile format for smaller venues and events focused on elegance and sophistication. Ideal for cocktail hours, dinners, awards ceremonies and spaces without a full stage setup. The acoustic duo has low logistical impact (minimal power requirements, little equipment) and high emotional impact.
Works beautifully in venues such as hotel event rooms, corporate rooftops, restaurants and small to mid-size indoor spaces. Perfect for events in Atibaia, Bragança Paulista, Nazaré Paulista, Mairiporã and the Serra da Cantareira region.
🎤 Voice + VS — performance with backing track
The VS format (voice with a professional backing track) brings the power of a full band without the logistics and cost of a larger ensemble. The vocalist performs over a professionally produced musical base — with guitar, bass, drums and keyboards in a high-quality mix — and the live result sounds like a full band.
This is the ideal format for larger parties, events with a dance floor, award ceremonies with a large audience, and occasions where the impact needs to be immediate. Perfect for medium to large company parties in São Paulo, Guarulhos, Osasco, Barueri, Alphaville and the Greater São Paulo region.
Both formats can be combined in the same event: acoustic duo during the cocktail and dinner, voice + VS at the party. This progression creates a natural experience, with rising energy throughout the evening — from elegant to lively, without breaking the mood.
4. Corporate repertoire: balancing elegance and energy
The repertoire for corporate events needs to work for multiple profiles simultaneously. It is not a graduation party or a wedding — it is a professional environment in celebration mode, with hierarchies, diverse tastes and, frequently, external clients present.
At the cocktail and dinner
- Classic Brazilian MPB: Tom Jobim, Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil, Chico Buarque
- Instrumental bossa nova: elegant, understated, internationally recognisable
- Soft international pop: Beatles, Elton John, Eric Clapton in acoustic arrangements
- Jazz standards: Frank Sinatra, Michael Bublé, Norah Jones
At the dance floor and party
- Brazilian pop/rock from the 80s and 90s: Legião Urbana, Cazuza, Capital Inicial, Paralamas
- International hits: Queen, Bon Jovi, The Police, U2
- Current pop: a curated selection of the biggest hits of recent years
- Axé, pagode and samba: for events with a more festive and energetic vibe
We avoid repertoire with content that is inappropriate for a professional setting. Every setlist undergoes prior curation and can be reviewed with the client before the event.
5. How to plan the booking — without surprises
Booking live music for a corporate event is different from booking for a wedding. The bureaucracy is lower, but the logistical planning needs to be more precise. Here are the essential points:
- Define the format before getting a quote. Acoustic duo, voice + VS or a combination of both? The format defines cost, logistics and expected impact. When in doubt, we describe both and help you decide.
- Share the event timeline. Cocktail at 7 pm, dinner at 8 pm, party at 10 pm — the more precise the schedule, the better we can tailor the repertoire to each moment.
- Confirm the venue infrastructure. Available power outlets, venue access, parking, sound area — basic information that prevents day-of surprises.
- Share the audience profile. Average age, musical preferences, whether external clients are present, whether the event is more formal or casual. With this information, setlist curation becomes much more precise.
- Book in advance. For events in November and December — the peak month for company parties across the region, from São José dos Campos and Taubaté to Sorocaba and Santos — we recommend confirming at least 60 days in advance.
